Great idea. Am a retired chemistry and physics teacher, tutor online. Love Mother Nature and all she gives us. Troubles and treasures.
While weeding this summer, noticed a volunteer watermelon amongst some young pines. Allowed it to grow even though doing that really messed up a lot of my lawn. Watermelon vines are BIG. It gave us several delicious melons which we shared with our neighbors (he spit the seed that grew). Just finished making order out of that lawn area but miss our watermelon vine.
I like having plants as friends, too. Talk to them regularly. And they respond in kind. Ain't nature grand?
